Eleanor Harvey
Founder Emerita

Eleanor Harvey was a dedicated educator, historian and preservationist who founded the Englewood Historical Society in 1976. Ms. Harvey bequeathed her Liberty Road property to the city, now known as Eleanor Harvey Park to honor her legacy.

In 2023 the Englewood Historical Society relocated the historic Taylor-Bliss House to Eleanor Harvey Park, preserving a significant piece of Englewood’s architectural heritage and fulfilling Ms. Harvey’s vision of safeguarding the city’s historical treasures.
